A word from the President

Leïla Benhima Cherif

President

Our association, l’Heure Joyeuse, was actively involved in the huge wave of solidarity that swept through our country to help the victims of the Al Haouz earthquake.

Collective solidarity once again demonstrated the importance of our associative fabric and the key role played by civil society in preserving values such as solidarity, sharing and efficiency. In a Morocco dedicated to its youth, l’Heure Joyeuse reiterates and reinforces its social and societal commitment, keen to integrate responsible and sustainable practices into its strategy.

All in all, 2023 is a year of consolidation. This has led us to review the initiatives implemented since 2020, assess their relevance and analyze their impact.

In the case of the Education cluster, following the audit of E2C-NG, we were able to conclude that there was room for improvement, and in particular that beneficiaries and their families should become active partners in E2C-NG, being involved from start to finish in the success of their children.

Similarly, the Entrepreneurship division has been able to support idea-formers from initiation to training, turning them into real entrepreneurs. It has also won the trust of INDH in taking charge of “L’Heure Joyeuse”. What remains to be done in 2024 is to strengthen our follow-up in order to analyze, evaluate and even enrich our training courses.

In a Morocco dedicated to its youth, l’Heure Joyeuse reiterates and reinforces its social and societal commitment.

The Employability cluster is implementing a new form of Partial Qualification (PQ) training in the Tawfik El Jadida industrial zone, enabling people to move from PQ level 1 to PQ level 5 and then into employment.

Today and in the future, we will be developing short, high-impact training courses enabling rapid placement in jobs or internships specific to the field being trained.

The Citizen Involvement division is fully established thanks to the Najah project, and is duplicating its high-value-added tool, COIP.

L’Heure Joyeuse is consolidating and perpetuating its high-impact actions with young people, and is committed to a Morocco that is changing, and where the social policy of the private-public network, like the programs of phase 3 of the INDH, provides some concrete answers to social inclusion.

We hope that 2024 will see l’Heure Joyeuse’s expertise associated with national programs, and in particular with the Casa-Settat region.

Our major project partners have been joined by Swisscontact, partner of the DAPP project -Danish Arab Partnership Program- which has signed up for a 2nd year of collaboration with l’Heure Joyeuse.

Thank you to our volunteers and our Moroccan and international partners, both public and private, to our donors and to the invaluable contribution of the local and national authorities and elected representatives who support us in all our actions.
